As of today (12), the National People’s Power filed a fundamental rights petition against the government arguing that the Anti-Terrorism Act proposed by the government violates the constitution.
Comrade Vijitha Herath, a member of the National Executive of National People’s Power, is one of the petitioners. As part of this event, Sunil Watagala, a member of the national executive of the National People’s Party, as well as a group of others, participated.
