Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Power (NPP), and his delegation visited the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in New Delhi on the second day of their visit (06). The Observer Research Foundation is an organization that provides advisory services to politicians and the business community in India in policy formulation and decision-making of the Government of India.

Then the delegation visited the Unique Identification Authority of India affiliated to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India and had a friendly discussion with its officials.

This afternoon (06), the delegation left for Ahmedabad where they will hold several meetings with Indian investors and industrialists.

During the official tour to India, the leader of National People’s Power (NPP) Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and his delegation met Foreign Secretary Mr. Vinay Mohan last night (05). The meeting was held at the Taj Mansingh Hotel in New Delhi.

Today (06), the delegation is going to visit the Observer Research Foundation and Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) institutions and engage in special discussions about the activities of those institutions.

The leader of the National People’s Power, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is currently in India on official invitation of the Indian Government, met with the National Security Adviser of the Government of India, Mr. Ajit Doval, this afternoon (05). The meeting was held at the Sardar Patel Bhavan.

At this meeting, regional security and bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and India were discussed in great detail. The meeting was also attended by Member of Parliament Mr. Vijitha Herath.

The German Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr. Felix Neumann met the leader of National People’s Power (NPP ), Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake on the 31st of January at the Party Head Office, Pelawatta.

The discussion focused on the current economic and political situation in Sri Lanka and the challenges the people face.

The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Dharini Dalwawatta, Political Affairs Advisor of the German Embassy, and Mr. Vijitha Herath, National Executive Member of the National People’s Power and a Member of Parliament.
